hack! 1940 Pontiac Woodie–stock Pontiac gray, stock on the outside custom on the inside, originally a six cylinder, now a 468 big block V8, automatic transmission with overdrive, holly carburetor, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, complete ground-up restoration/customization, all new wood! 1946 Mercury Sportsman Woodie Convertible–this is the ONLY remaining factory-built ‘46 Sportsman in the world, maroon, only 205 manufactured, 100 point car, 16 year-old restoration, Philippine mahogany and fiddle-back maple, rare hydro-electric windows converted from brake fluid to automatic transmission fluid, rare with flair! 1946 Ford Super Deluxe All Wheel Drive Marmon-Herrington Woodie–another rare auto, built for engineers and surveyors, all original, 4-year restoration in and out, removable sunroof, owner restores woodies for a living and gives brief “how-to” tips! 1947 Oldsmobile Model 66 Woodie–body by Hercules Manufacturing Company, owner found car in a barn in Montana, modern drive train, 350 tuned port motor, 700 R4 transmission, positraction rear end, power steering/brakes, air conditioning, wooden roof rack with surf board, 1-year frame-off restoration, rare olds woodie! 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Woodie–stock maroon color, 1 of 10,000 manufactured, stock restoration, wooden roof rack with surf board! 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Woodie Wagon–custom, 44 man-month restoration of a junk yard jewel, used in a “Jan and Dean” promotional video, mostly original wood, bird’s eye maple, 1 of 45 manufactured, custom color (burgundy), top and interior, modern drive train, 1948 was the last year for all-wood ford wagons. 1949 Chrysler Town and County Convertible Woodie–1 of 150 surviving examples, Gulf Green, new owner of a Colorado car, all original restoration, original upholstery, rolling art! 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe Woodie–rare North 4T “movie” car, original, Edminton Beige paint, ash with mahogany, manufactured in Los Angeles, swing-away rear bumper to allow rear door to open. 1950 Ford Custom Woodie–owner restored, repainted, unique handmade wooden hood ornament, 80% original wood, panels re-veneered, surf boards! Dozens of other Ford, Mercury, Chevy, Packard, Buick, and other stock and custom woodie cars and trucks appear throughout the video and in several music montages.
